In-house Core Star training and Keyworking with the Outcomes Star
A two day course to equip and support you to use the Outcomes Star effectively by focusing on keyworking approaches and techniques.
What's included in the training?
This two-day course introduces the Outcomes Star with a greater focus on using it to support change. We focus on keyworking skills like Motivational Interviewing techniques, coaching and solution focused approaches to help your workers to engage effectively with the people they support.
It is recommended for those wanting to both introduce the Star and develop their workers’ skills and covers all the material from the one-day Introduction to the Outcomes Star Core course plus additional material on:
- How to use the Star to build a good working relationship and agree where someone is starting from, including discussing difficult areas and challenging appropriately
- How to use the completed Star as a basis for a realistic action plan, including agreeing SMART actions
- Developing keyworking skills and using the Star to motivate and support change.
We are also able to offer day two of this course as a stand-alone course for members of staff who have already completed the Core Star training.
